FAQ
FAQ
Can a foreign company own 100% of a Yingkou company?
In most sectors, yes. A wholly foreign-owned enterprise is permitted where the activity is outside the Negative List for Foreign Investment Access. Restricted sectors may require a Chinese partner, a cap on foreign ownership, or sector approval. Check your specific business activity before committing.
How long does registration take?
Processing times vary by district, activity and how complete your documents are. Name approval and the business licence are usually the faster steps; legalisation of parent documents, sector licences and bank account opening often take longer. We do not quote fixed timelines because they depend on your file and current local processing.
Do I need to travel to Yingkou?
Not necessarily for the filing itself, as an authorised agent with a power of attorney can submit documents. However, the legal representative may need to be present for bank account opening and some verification steps. Plan for at least one visit if you are the legal representative.
What is the minimum registered capital?
China generally no longer imposes a universal minimum for ordinary limited liability companies, but some licensed sectors set thresholds, and banks and authorities expect capital consistent with the business plan. Set a realistic figure you can actually contribute within the period stated in the articles.
Can I use a virtual office address?
It is risky. The registered address must be a real, documented premises, and authorities may reject addresses that cannot support your activity. Park-provided or serviced office addresses with proper certificates are the safer route, especially for licensed activities.
